It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Robert Kraft (1934-2023), a dear friend and companion at many Enoch Seminar events. Bob was one of the protagonists of contemporary research on Second Temple Judaism, and a pioneer in making Reception History relevant to the study of the OT Pseudepigrapha. In 2020 he was among the first recipients of the “Enoch Seminar Live Achievement Award” in recognition of his outstanding contributions to scholarship in the field. He was an exquisite person, a sincere friend, an exemplary colleague, full of wisdom and humanity! We miss him so much already.
